Art has the power to heal, creating opportunities for dialogue, appreciation and understanding. We work collaboratively with our clients and artists to create the space for physical reconciliation, connecting land, peoples, and history.
Mission:
To elevate Indigenous Art in Public Spaces.
Artistic Ethics
We are committed to working with emerging and established Indigenous (First Nations, Métis & Inuit) Artists. Our respectful vetting process ensures the integrity and authenticity of the installations we place, as well as the artists who produce them.
We authenticate art and artists so that we can guarantee to our clients, partners, and communities that we are extremely mindful of protecting Indigenous form and fighting cultural appropriation.
Our Approach
We focus our energy on producing the highest quality traditional and contemporary Indigenous Art installations. We are meticulous in the design and project management process with a solutions-oriented approach. As a firm, we manage all stages of development, from concept, design, fabrication to final installation.
We believe that we can shape our urban environments to reflect the rich cultural landscape of Indigenous arts from Turtle Island and bring a seldom heard voice to our metropolitan centres. We are here to bring beauty into the world.
Art Director Statement
I am the first in three generations to be raised by my own parents because of the assimilationist policies of Canada. My late father was an Indian Residential School Survivor, and my mother is a member of the 60’s Scoop. My parents walked a journey together celebrating our culture and making ceremony. I was privileged to grow up in a home surrounded by form and legends. Both of my parents are artists. My late father was a Master Carver, Orator and Storyteller. My mother is a writer, poet, and director.
In my childhood, I spent countless hours with my father, learning how our form and spirituality are interconnected. Art is sacred. My late fathers work can be found in public institutions, communities, and private collections around the world.
My mother is an award-winning author and community leader. She is a maker of ceremony. From her I have learned a passion for writing and self-expression through the power of ritual.
Together, they kept our Dances, Rituals and Songs alive for me and future generations yet to come.
Their work influenced me to have a deep appreciation for the power of art, ritual, and form. It breathes new life into our spaces and helps us to shape our minds and our hearts. This work inspires me. I am inspired to bring our art into public spaces and transform those spaces into the embodiment of Reconciliation.
In my father’s own words: We are here to bring beauty into the world.
